He reported a 2-month history of nociceptive, non-radiating pain measuring 8/10 on the pain scale that was not influenced by postural changes (standing, lying down or walking) and was not associated sciatic nerve pain. The onset of pain coincided with oedema in the lower limbs that did not respond to diuretics.
