Abstract

The use of antibiotics in hospitals involves an adequate dosage that takes into account the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profile of these molecules. The debate on the correct use of polymyxins has been renewed, due to the emergence of multiresistant microorganisms.

Keywords:
Polymyxin
Colistin
Polypeptide antibiotics
Colistin sulphate
