Análisis de los avisos internos al equipo de guardia del área médica en un hospital general

Fundamento

Valorar la frecuencia y característicasde las urgencias internas.

Pacientes y métodos

Se recogen los avisosdiarios al equipo de guardia durante unmes, analizando las características clínicasy epidemiológicas.

Resultados

Se documentaron 341 avisos,con una media diaria superior en días festivos.Se trata de problemas fundamentalmenteclínicos (78%), variables según elservicio. Se realizaron exploraciones complementariasal 44% de los pacientes, y seindicaron modificaciones terapéuticas en el77%.

Conclusiones

Las urgencias internas suponenun apartado importante de la laborasistencial de los equipos de guardia, yplantean importantes valoraciones diagnósticasy terapéuticas.

Objective

To study the frequency and characteristicsof the hospitalized patients medicalemergencies.

Patients and methods

We have collecteddaily the notice to the emergency roomfrom patients hospitalized and we haveanalyzed the clinical and epidemiologicalcharacteristics.

Results

Three hundred forty one noticeswere recorded. The daily mean was higheron holidays. There were mostly medicalproblems (78%). Complementary explorationswere performed in the 44% of the patients,and in the 77% the treatment waschanged.

Conclusions

The in-patient emergenciesaccount for an important charge of work forthe emergency team and involve importantdiagnosis and therapeutic decisions.
