Aclaramiento renal aumentado
Paciente crítico
Hiperfiltración glomerular
Cuidados intensivos
Aclaramiento de creatinina
Abstract

Glomerular hyperfiltration is a manifestation of improved renal function that can be observed in different clinical conditions including among patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. The pathophysiological mechanisms of this phenomenon are not clearly defined and are multifactorial in origin. The urinary measurement of creatinine clearance is useful in clinical practice for the detection of GHF. We are increasingly gaining scientific evidence on the importance of this phenomenon and the need for dosage adjustment guidelines for renal elimination drugs, the underdosage of which can lead to therapeutic failure. For this purpose, we searched MEDLINE (PubMed) to retrieve studies published in the last nineteen years, up to December 2019, using the keywords: «augmented renal clearance», «critically ill», «glomerular hyperfiltration», «hyperfiltration» and «creatinine clearance».

Keywords:
Augmented renal clearance
Critically ill
Glomerular hyperfiltration
Intensive care
Creatinine clearance
