Abstract

Primary renal lymphoma (PRL) is a rare disease. We here present the case of an 8-year-old child who presented with bilateral renal masses. On biopsy, it was confirmed to be B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET/CT) for staging demonstrated 18F-FDG avid bilateral renal masses, with no other abnormal focus. Follow up 18F-FDG PET/CT showed complete resolution of the disease after six cycles of chemotherapy. Here we have highlighted the potential role of 18F-FDG PET/CT in staging and response evaluation of a patient with PRL and presented a brief review.
