Identification of the triangle of Calot during cholecystectomy is important to prevent complications. The use of indocyanine green cholangiography has become increasingly common for identification of the biliary tree. In situations where cholecystectomy is difficult and in cases of acute cholecystitis, the rate of bile duct injury can reach up to 0.3%. We present a video with different surgical scenarios of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, where the use of ICG has been very useful to avoid bile duct injuries. We believe that it is a tool that contributes towards achieving a critical view of safety.
