Presentation of a clinical case of cavernous venous malformation with an unusual location and clinical presentation, detailing its clinical, radiological characteristics, diagnosis, and therapeutic management. The case involves a 37-year-old man with intense headache and incidental diagnosis of infraorbital nerve neurofibroma by imaging tests. After surgical removal and pathological anatomy study, he was finally diagnosed with cavernous venous malformation of the infraorbital canal. Orbital cavernous venous malformation can present unusual manifestations that complicate its diagnosis. The combination of clinical symptoms and imaging tests is usually sufficient for diagnosis, but in cases of unusual clinical presentation, the role of pathological anatomy is essential.
Presentación de un caso clínico de malformación venosa cavernosa con una localización y presentación clínica inusual, detallando sus características clínicas, radiológicas, diagnóstico y manejo terapéutico. Se trata de un hombre de 37 años con cefalea intensa y diagnóstico incidental de neurofibroma del nervio infraorbitario por pruebas de imagen. Tras la extirpación quirúrgica y el estudio de anatomía patológica, fue finalmente diagnosticado de malformación venosa cavernosa del canal infraorbitario. La malformación venosa cavernosa orbitaria puede presentar manifestaciones inusuales que dificultan su diagnóstico. La combinación de clínica y pruebas de imagen suele ser suficiente para su diagnóstico, pero en casos de presentación clínica inusual, el papel de la anatomía patológica es fundamental.
