ANNALS OF HEPATOLOGY is an international open access journal published bimonthly and is funded by Medica Sur Clinical Foundation, Mexico City, Mexico. It is the official journal of the Mexican Association of Hepatology (AMH), the Latin-American Association for the Study of the Liver (ALEH) and the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver (CASL) and publishes original papers, concise reviews, letters to the Editor, invited editorials, opinions and viewpoints in the field of Hepatology.
ANNALS OF HEPATOLOGY'S main topics are alcoholic liver disease, viral hepatitis (HAV, HBV, HCV, HDV, HEV), NAFLD/NASH, genetic liver diseases, autoimmune hepatitis, drug¿induced liver injury and biliary diseases. The journal's aim is to publish articles focused on basic, clinic care and translational research that seeks to prevent rather than treat the complications of endstage liver disease.
The Impact Factor measures the average number of citations received in a particular year by papers published in the journal during the two receding years.
