Psycho-COVID: Long-term effects of COVID19 pandemic on brain and mental health

The aim of a special issue is to collate the highest quality evidence of the effects of COVID19 pandemic at the long-term, in the field of psychology, psychiatry and neuroscience. We hope to discuss current challenges and also provide evidence to allow clinicians to begin to recognize the relevance of preventing, identifying and treating these sequels.

Psycho-COVID: Long-term effects of COVID19 pandemic on brain and mental health.
The journal Revista de Psiquiatría y Salud Mental - Journal of Psychiatry and Mental Health (RPSM) announces the next publication of a special issue dedicated to Long-term effects of COVID19 pandemic on brain and mental health.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect millions of people globally, with increasing burdens of morbidity and mortality. After more than 2 years of the COVID19 pandemic, the long-term effects of it are becoming more and more evident. Direct effects on the CNS, neurological, psychological and psychiatric effects, and the need of adaptation to the disease and the social consequences constitute one of the current health challenges. The knowledge of these sequels should be the basis for the development of specific programs and services for their treatment.
The aim of a special issue is to collate the highest quality evidence of the effects of COVID19 pandemic at the long-term, in the field of psychology, psychiatry and neuroscience. We hope to discuss current challenges and also provide evidence to allow clinicians to begin to recognize the relevance of preventing, identifying and treating these sequels.
Articles related to this topic from the original and systematic reviews sections of the journal will be considered for publication. Only articles written in English will be accepted.

Manuscript submission information:

Authors must submit their article by 30 April. When submitting your manuscript please select the article type "Psycho-COVID: Long-term"

All submissions deemed suitable to be sent for peer review will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.

The Impact Factor (JCR 2020) of Revista de Psiquiatría y Salud Mental - Journal of Psychiatry and Mental Health is 3.318 (Psychiatry-SCIE and Psychiatry-SSCI).
