Family support on utilization of adolescent reproduction health service at the area of public health service (Puskesmas) of Martapura

Abstract

Adolescent reproductive health should obtain special attention from various parties, but adolescent have not yet utilized reproduction health service optimally. This study aims to identify the relationship of family support and adolescent's utilization of reproduction health service. This research used a correlational descriptive design and 370 adolescents in the working area of Public Health Service Martapura were chosen randomly as design. Questionnaires were used as a research instrument. The data were analyzed by using spearman correlation. Research result shows that there is a significant relationship between family support and utilization of reproduction health service (p value 0.000). This study indicates that the family support is vital for adolescents for adolescent to use reproductive health services appropriately. To increase the utilization of reproduction health service, it is recommended to increase family support and health officer should increase socialization to parents and adolescent.
