Abstract
Objective

This study aims to determine the effect of body mass index and workload on fatigue and musculoskeletal disorders and their impact on nurse performance.

Methods

This type of research used cross-sectional study design. The study sample used proportional random sampling method as many as 103 respondents. Data were analyzed using path analysis.

Result

The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was an influence between workload (p-value=0.000) on performance with a coefficient of −0.287. The results of the multivariate analysis indirect effect of the body mass index on work fatigue and its impact on the performance of nurses hospitalization are 0.124. The indirect effect of workload on musculoskeletal disorders complaints on the performance of nurses hospitalization is −0.533.

Conclusion

The workload influences on performance of the inpatient nurses in Sawerigading Hospital Palopo City.
