The patient is a 79-year-old man with a history of melanoma on the left arm 3 years earlier, treated with surgery and radiotherapy. Presently, he was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the colon. In the extension study, a polypoid lesion was observed in the fundus of the stomach, showing predominantly endoluminal growth and measuring about 5cm in diameter, with no apparent signs of transmural extension or regional lymphadenopathies (Fig. 1). Gastroscopy was performed to confirm the presence of a polypoid lesion in the fundus measuring about 5cm, with ulcerated and irregular areas suggestive of malignancy (Fig. 2). The biopsy was compatible with metastatic melanoma. A laparoscopic right hemicolectomy and atypical gastrectomy were performed.
