Call for papers: Update in interprofessional approach for patients with rare diseases

If you are dealing with patients with rare diseases and their families, we encorauge you to share your work in this Special Issue. It is an update of the whole interpofessional approach needed for taking care of patients with rare diseases, also including controversial aspects of this management. We will include reviews or new insight from basic to clinical research aspects aiming to improve the management of patients with rare diseases.

Special issue information:

This Special Issue is an update of the whole interprofessional approach needed for taking care of patients with rare diseases, from basic to clinical research.

Manuscript submission information:

The Medicina Clínica’s submission system is open for submissions to our special issue titled “Update in interprofessional approach for patients with rare diseases”.

When submitting your manuscript, please select the article type 'VSI: Interprofessional approach in rare diseases' from the drop-down list and the deadline to submit the manuscript will be 30th April 2026.

All submissions deemed suitable to be sent for peer review will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Once your manuscript is accepted, it will go into production and will be simultaneously published in the current regular issue and pulled into the online Special Issue.

Articles from this Special Issue will appear in different regular issues of the journal, though they will be clearly marked and branded as Special Issue articles.
