Hepatic artery aneurysms are a rare finding, representing only 20% of visceral aneurysms, with an estimated incidence of 0.002%.

We present the case of an 84-year-old man, with no medical history of interest or chronic treatment, who experienced sudden-onset abdominal pain. CT angiography showed a large aneurysm measuring 9.5cm dependent on the right hepatic artery (Fig. 1) and intraperitoneal free fluid suggestive of a contained rupture.

(0.35MB).

The patient was treated with an emergency surgical intervention, involving the placement of 2 coated stents in the hepatic artery, with complete exclusion of the aneurysm in the follow-up imaging study (Fig. 2).
