Se presenta un absceso esplénico de gran tamaño por Salmonella sp., con el antecedente de gastroenteritis tratada con anbitioterapia. Tras la sospecha mediante radiografía de tórax, se diagnosticó mediante ultrasonografía, realizándose drenaje percutáneo guiado por tomografía computarizada. Se mantuvo un drenaje aspirativo hasta conseguir la práctica resolución del proceso

A patient with a history of gastroenteritis treated with antibiotics presented with a large splenic abscess caused by Salmonella species. Chest X ray raised the suspicion of this entity, which was diagnosed by ultrasonography. Treatment involved computed tomography-guided percutaneous drainage. Drainage with aspiration was maintained until the process was practically resolved
