Buscaglia30 aptly stated that CapCT or similar assessment tools may serve as a “road test” to competency, credentialing and granting privileges in CE for trainees. In conclusion, a structured small-bowel CE training curriculum with 25 or more supervised interpretations and formalized competency assessment are important tools to overcome the variable learning curve and provide assurance that each trainee will practice CE to a satisfactory level of proficiency.
