Summary
An adnexal torsion is an uncommon occurrence, but even less frequent is the isolated torsion of a fallopian tube. Cases are exceptionally rare, and its diagnosis is complicated and in most cases it is made a posteriori following exploratory surgery for definitive diagnosis. Usually the diagnosis is too late, as it does not allow conservation of the affected tube. In this article we make reference to the clinical case of an 11year old patient, and have reviewed the bibliography on the subject.
Resumen
La torsión de un anejo es un proceso poco frecuente, pero todavía más la torsión aislada de la trompa, siendo excepcionales los casos que se presentan. Porotro lado, su diagnóstico es complicado y en la mayoría de los casos se establece a posteriori. Sólo mediante cirugía exploradora podremos llegar al diagnóstico definitivo que, por otro lado, la mayoría de las veces se efectúa demasiado tarde, lo que no permite la conservación de la trompa afectada. En este artículo hacemos referencia a un caso clínico en una paciente de 11 años y revisamos la bibliografía sobre el tema.
