Abstract
Objective

Our aim is evaluate vaccination guidelines that were published by Ministry of Health of Spain and his impact in a mutual injuries work of Spain (FREMAP).

Method

Is a retrospective observational study of vaccination with tetanus–diphtheria (Td) in adults of mutual injuries of work of Spain (FREMAP) between January 2010 and December 2013.

Results

We have registered 126,101 injured employees for vaccination; of those have been vaccinated 11,468 (9%). We have not found significant differences in employees with incapacity or no. We have not found significant differences by sex.

We have found significant differences by age group (46–55 years), women more than men (χ2=4.422; p<0.05). We have found significant differences if are foreign employees or Spanish employees (χ2=165.183; p<0.05); men are more vaccinated if are foreign than Spanish (χ2=6.456; p<0.05) and women are more vaccinated if are Spanish than foreign (χ2=4.175; p<0.05).

Conclusions

Based on the present study, it cannot be concluded that the recommendations of the Ministry have caused a lower Td vaccination rate and it can be concluded that the recommendations have produced a higher vaccination rate in the 55–65 age group.

Objetivo

El objetivo de nuestro estudio es evaluar el impacto de las recomendaciones del Ministerio de Sanidad y Consumo en cuanto a la vacunación en una mutua colaboradora con la Seguridad Social (FREMAP).

Método

Se trata de un estudio observacional retrospectivo de la vacunación de tétanos-difteria (Td) en adultos, en FREMAP, entre enero de 2012 y diciembre de 2013.

Resultados

Se han registrado 126.101 accidentes susceptibles de vacunación de Td, de los cuales han sido vacunados 11.468 (9%). No ha habido diferencias significativas en cuanto a si fueron accidentes incapacitantes o no, ni en cuanto a sexo. Se han encontrado diferencias significativas en el grupo de edad 46-55años, donde fueron vacunadas más las mujeres (χ2=4,422; p<0,05); también se ha comprobado que es mayor el número de vacunaciones en trabajadores extranjeros que en españoles (χ2=165,183; p<0,05); y es mayor el número de vacunaciones en hombres extranjeros (χ2=6,456; p<0,05) y en mujeres españolas (χ2=4,175; p<0,05).

Conclusiones

A partir del estudio realizado no puede concluirse que las recomendaciones del Ministerio hayan originado una menor tasa de vacunación de Td, y sí se puede concluir que las recomendaciones han producido una mayor tasa de vacunación en el grupo de edad de 56-65años.
