El primer caso de fractura de stent farmacológico en arterias coronarias fue publicado en 2004, y aunque es un evento infrecuente, las implicaciones diagnósticas y terapéuticas siguen siendo un reto. Se presenta el caso de un paciente de género masculino, de 49 años de edad, portador de dos stents medicados, con antedecedente de nuevo evento coronario y diagnóstico de fractura de dichos dispositivos a través de cateterismo.

The first case of drug-eluting stent fracture in coronary arteries was published in 2004, and although it is a rare event, the diagnostic and therapeutic implications remain a challenge. We report the case of a 49 years old male patient, carrier of two medicated stents with history of a new coronary event and diagnosis through catheterization of fracture of these devices.
