Se presentan dos casos poco frecuentes de masas líquidas en el mediastino inferior: un quiste entérico y un quiste hidatídico, diagnosticados mediante ultrasonido, destacando la importancia de este método en los centros médicos no equipados con TAC. Se analiza el diagnóstico diferencial de las masas líquidas del mediastino.
Two cases of infrequently seen liquid masses in the lower mediastinum are described: one an enteric cyst and the other a hydatid cysts. Diagnosis was established with ultrasound, a useful diagnostic tool in centres lacking CAT equipment. The differential diagnosis for liquid mediastinal masses is discussed.
