En relación con la escleroterapia de varices esofágicas se han comunicado una amplia variedad de complicaciones. Presentamos un paciente con fístula esofagopleural y empiema, complicaciones de la escleroterapia de varices, raramente descritas en la literatura.
A wide variety of complications have been reported in relation with sclerotherapy of esophageal varices. A patient with esophagopleural fístula and empyema and complications of variceal sclerotherapy, rarely described in the literature is presented.
