BECA DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN INMUNOLOGÍA CLÍNICA Y ALERGIA PEDIÁTRICA

Convocada por la SEICAP. Bases de la convocatoria: Pueden solicitarla médicos pediatras o médicos alergólogos, miembros de la SEICAP. Tema objeto de investigación será Inmunología o Alergia Pediátrica. El plazo de solicitud y presentación del proyecto de investigación será del 1 de febrero al 15 de abril de 1999.

Las solicitudes serán enviadas a la Secretaría de la Sociedad y deberán incluir:

1. Instancia de solicitud donde consten datos de filiación de los autores y centro de trabajo.

2. Proyecto de investigación a desarrollar.

El trabajo deberá desarrollarse en el período de un año, al final del cual deberá presentarse con las conclusiones obtenidas en la Secretaría de la Sociedad.

La adjudicación de la beca se realizará en Sevilla, con motivo del XXIII Congreso de la Sociedad (6-8 mayo 99). El jurado estará constituido por: 1 Catedrático de Pediatría. 1 representante del CSIC y 2 miembros de la SEICAP designados por la Junta Directiva.

La dotación de la beca será de 1.500.000 ptas.

ERS TRAVEL FELLOWSHIPS 1999 CELL AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY ASSEMBLY EUROPEAN RESPIRATORY SOCIETY. FIVE AWARDS WILL BE MADE OF £1,000 STERLING EACH BASED ON SCIENTIFIC MERIT

Applications are invited for awards to be presented at the ERS Annual Meeting in Madrid, Spain, October 1999. The awards are open to research workers who are under the age of 40 years. The aim is to enable young researchers to present their work at the forthcoming ERS meeting.

To qualify for these awards one must submit a first author abstract to the Cell and Molecular Biology Assembly. The abstract must include an introduction of the research including a clear rationale for the study, the methodology, the results which must include new data, not previously published or presented at any previous major meeting, an relevant conclusions. The awards will lay great emphasis on merited abstracts that meet acceptable scientific standards and which contain clear data. Successful applicants will be expected to become voting members of the Cell and Molecular Biology Assembly.
